Origin

In modern life, there are many things left by our ancestors, such as making a fire and cook, using leaves to treat symptoms, and using some techniques to correct the bone. Today, the traditional technique “rehabilitation” is one of the most important and popular treatments in Taiwan. However, the history of rehabilitation is from Taiwan. Most people believe that the skill of rehabilitation was invented and popularized by the United States. In 1996, Porter, a black cleaner who had been deaf for 17 years, was treated by American doctor D.D. Palmer to restore his hearing by American rehabilitation surgery. American-style rehabilitation shocked the medical world and spread all over the United States. In the west, it is called "regulation", "thrust", "adjust", "high velocity, low amplitude thrust", "grade V mobilization".

Nevertheless, the rehabilitation spread from the Tang Dynasty to Arabia through the Silk Road, and then to America, therefore it had deep roots in America. Its correct name is "正骨術"(Zhèng Gǔ Shù), which is "扳法"(Bān Fǎ) belongs to the Department of Traumatology of traditional Chinese medicine. The origin of rehabilitation can be traced back to more than 2,000 years ago. With the famous medical book 《正骨心法》(Zhèng Gǔ Xīn Fǎ) in Han Dynasty and the present technology, it has been handed down from generation to generation. Many of the techniques and instruments mentioned in the book are handed down from ancient times. Among them, the Golden Mirror of Medicine was compiled by Wu Qian and others. In the early Qing Dynasty, smallpox was common, and Kangxi inherited the throne because he was immune to smallpox. Therefore, during his reign, he attached great importance to pox and rash. The gist of Zhenggu Xinfa is to keep the traditional technology of Zhenggu Xinfa and optimize it. With the vigorous promotion of Kangxi and Golden Mirror of Medicine, it has become a textbook for many people. From Volume 87 to Volume 90, this paper systematically summarizes the experience of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of bone injuries before the Qing Dynasty. In fact, the Chinese and Western methods are basically the same, straightening the crooked spine, and then making a "Ka" sound in the process. Let the body achieve the effect of relaxation.
