The manufacturing process of tea

► Introduction to Long-Shou tea

Long-Shou tea is not a breed of tea. It is the product of a single area. Tea produced in Linkou is semi-ball type Oolong tea.

The area of tea gardens nowadays is not large, which is 3 hectares in total. The production focuses on quality, and the manufacturers sell the products themselves. In the 1980s, tea farmers named their tea as “Long-Shou tea” in order to promote their self-produced Oolong tea. “Long” means dragon in Chinese, and “Shou” stands for longevity. This name symbolizes the growth of Linkou as a tea production site. Local framer’s association helps to sell “Long-Shou” tea thorough designing new package, build brand image and classified the tea based on quality.

Long-Shou tea’s season is from April to November every year. The tea leaves’ appearance is tidy, the color is dark green, and the tea is amber. After brewing, it has a pleasant scent and sweet taste. The after taste is bitter. Drink one cup to experience the sweet taste, and drink the second cup to enjoy the cozy feeling and longer longevity. Aromatic, strong, rich and pretty are the specialties of Long-Shou tea. It is your best option in tea.
